Another Book on my Wish List: All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome

Yesterday, I wrote about John Elder Robison's book. While doing a little research on Look Me in the Eye on Amazon, another book , an October 2006 release, also caught my attention. I don't have an official wish list at Amazon, but if I did I would add All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome by Kathy Hoopmann to it. My reasons:

1. My son with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has been known to meow sometimes during silly moments.

2. We have two cats.

3. Our little guy who is not on the spectrum saw the cover of the book and loved it. He's an animal lover.

4. Although a couple reviewers on Amazon disliked this book, most liked it.

5. Many school counselors and or staff members (aka amazon reviewers) recommended this book as one to read with children. As I understand it, the book has photos of cats with commentary about Asperger's Syndrome.

P.S. J.E. Robison was kind enough to write a lengthy reply to yesterday's post. You may want to take a peek.

Elissa, thank you for your comment.
I took a look at your excellent review and am glad you and your son like the book too.
My son is a little bit in denial about his condition, so maybe this book will help. I am trying to find ways to approach the topic with him and his little brother as gently as I can.
